Drafted for the loom. Designs are built as flat color fields, six colors or fewer, because that is what a loom can actually weave. The editor kills most drafts; nothing earns a catalog number that wasn't redrawn, edge by edge, at loom resolution (about 12 threads per inch). The full story: the manifesto.
