CALTESSA is a label, not a store.
We release blankets the way a record label releases records: numbered from CT-001, with liner notes. No seasons, no origin myth — the catalog is the whole story, and each number speaks for itself.
Thread, not ink.
Ink sits on cloth. Thread is the cloth. Every CALTESSA throw is jacquard-woven cotton — the design carried by the yarn itself, through and through. That's why true jacquard reads on both faces: the back carries the pattern in negative. It's the oldest proof in textiles, and that's the proof we trust.
Six colors, one palette.
Flamingo hour, Art Deco heat, terrazzo and slow tides — six colors and nothing else: écru, ochre, terracotta, indigo, sage, black. Every number belongs to the same house, and any two of them can live in the same room.
Woven to order.
Nothing exists until someone wants it. Every piece is woven to order in America — one order, one run of the loom — and backed by the Reweave Promise: live with it for thirty days. If the weave isn't right, we make it right.
One editor.
Every design is chosen by one editor and redrawn, edge by edge, at the loom's own resolution — six colors or fewer, no gradients, nothing the thread can't hold. Most drafts die. The ones that live get a number.
CT-001 and counting. Turn it over.
